1) Leg Day Helps Your Overall Muscle Growth
Now you may be thinking, how the heck can just working out my legs stimulate muscle growth in other body parts? Well you'll be surprised to know that multiple studies, multiple articles and even multiple books have said that squats and deadlifts increase the growth hormone and testosterone more than any other workout that you could possibly do. Both of these hormones are natural and essential for muscle growth and muscle building, so they will definitely lead to the stronger and bigger muscles that you are hoping for, ALL AROUND!
2) Injury Chances Are Reduced
Injuries normally occur when you have muscle imbalances, meaning a muscle group is too weak to compensate for a stronger muscle group which causes an injury. The most common ones you'll hear of are lower back pains and the famous ACL tear! If you are an athlete or someone who just wants to keep generally fit, then this is a no brainer, skipping leg day should be out of the question! I would personally advice you to strengthen your glutes and your hamstrings and NOT to completely focus on your quads which would cause muscle imbalance!
3) Those Calories Will Burn Like A Fire Pit...
Simply put, your glutes are the biggest muscles in your body. This means when you workout your glutes, they require the largest amount of energy. And this means my friends, that you are increasing your metabolism. While your doing your workout and even when you've finished your workout, your metabolism will be on its fastest gears! This is due to the fact that after your workout, your muscles have a ton of repairing to do!
4) Those Big Lifts Will Become Cake Walks
Ever been in the gym and wanted to show your mates that you are the heaviest lifter? Well this is finally your chance to shine! During those powerful heavy lifts, the majority of your power comes from not your arms, but your legs and core! So from here what you need to do is pretty simple, improve those legs and watch your heavy lifts shine!
5) Don't Be The Chicken...
Seriously, you don't want to look like a Chicken!
Having untrained legs is un-aesthetically pleasing to say the least! It is completely embarrassing and not something you should be striving for if you want to be improving your health and fitness!
